English Name: The Single Flowered Panisea 

Chinese name: Dan Hua Qu Chun Lan – 单花曲唇兰. 

Description:  With narrowly ovoid or ovoid pseudobulbs carrying 2 apical, linear, plicate, acute, grooved petiolate base leaves that blooms in the spring on a basal, erect, 3 to 4 cm long, 1 or rarely 2 flowered inflorescence with ovate or obovate, acuminate floral bracts all arising on a mature pseudobulb. 

Distribution: Assam, Cambodia, China South-Central, East Himalaya, India, Laos, Malaya, Myanmar, Nepal, Thailand, Vietnam (Lâm Đồng, Đà Lạt). 

Ecological: As a miniature to small sized, warm to cold growing epiphyte or lithophyte in humid forest and tropical valleys at elevations of 250 to 2300 m. 

Flowering times: Blooms in the spring. 

Flower size: 2.5 cm. 

Cultivation: Plant grows from cool to cold temperatures in partial shade. 

Water regularly during the summer, about once every two days and gradually reduce in the winter. Water about once every two to three weeks and gradually increase watering as new roots begin to show. Pot in a well drain medium. 

Pot in a plastic or clay pot with a mix of fine fir bark, tree fern fibers, and perlite or pot in New Zealand sphagnum moss.
